Lacey does do really well even on high levels of protein like 42% but when it comes to snacks/treats if the protein level is high than 45% then that is too much for her & I should break it down into much smaller portions for her.I have noticed high protein levels in snacks/treats higher than 45% will cause soft bowels.Something to consider next time.
Still haven’t gotten the TOTW samples yet and it does not seem like it will be coming….We have emailed Blue Buffalo & waiting on a response for samples of these formulas

If Lacey will eat the Blue Buffalo although it is out of our way it is much better for her.All of the food has l.acid(a big plus),then it has in all formulas blueberries & cranberries grouped together(which I like & am looking for because back when she had her UTI we tried the SG Berry Balance but her tummy couldn’t take it so we stopped it.One thing I did like about the SG Just a wee bit was it had blueberries & cranberries listed together).It also comes in 4 pound bags vs TOTW comes in 5-6 pound bag & so does Earthborn.Altogether even buying 4(4 1 pound bag several times a year although it is close by will still come out to about $18.00 a year(Halo’s from Whole Foods–see cost of Lacey’s food blog- & their website still comes out cheaper)Because Blue Buffalo is out of our way that’s one reason I didn’t look into it sooner.Still a lot of their foods is relatively low in grains to practically nothing all the way to 100% grain free which is what Lacey needs.If she can do good and eat some of these formulas we can & could manage getting Halo’s(Whole Foods for Wholesome Chicken flavor,Halo’s website for the Wild Salmon or we could get it from PetCo),(Stop Earthborn possibly from Kalihi Pet Store providing she eats Blue Buffalo)and go through a variety of brands/flavors from Blue Buffalo at PetCo.Merrick can food from Natually Pet.Noting that Lacey is a small breed and barley eats a 4 pound bag of a variety of flavors(on a day to day basis)will last us a very long time not to mention the neighbor’s dog will help us.
