We gave our Wellness Super5Mix Small Breed to my aunty to give to her co-workers at work because I seriously doubt Lacey’s bowels are going to get better on the Small Breed but I don’t want to give up hope on using Wellness’ products for her yet until we have tried literally every option Wellness has to offer us before we try Castor & Pollux lines of dog food.While I am fairly optimistic that Castor & Pollux will 90% agree with her I’d like to give Wellness more than one chance if by any means even if it takes a year to try every dry food line that they have before we come across something that works.Meanwhile,I am going to calll Wellness to see what they suggest we try next for Lacey.Otherwise depending on what they say I am thinking of trying the Lamb,Barley & Salmon Meal next.But,we’ll see what Wellness has to say tomorrow.In the mean time Lacey is back on Halo’s 100% by itself with nothing else added at the moment.I hope to try add something else to the mixture soon.

I have emailed them for coupons of the dog food just in case we need a back up for Lacey.I mentioned right now we are between trying different brands for Lacey and it would be helpful if we got a coupon as a back up.
Note:So far Castor & Pollux is the only other line I have okayed besides Halo’s & Wellness.I will consider other options but would like to try Wellness first & then Castor & Pollux even if it means ordering it online.I did get a response from Wellness and am considering calling them tomorrow just to see what their input is before we return the bag to try the Lamb,Barley and Salmon from their Super5Mix line.
Update:regretfully,we couldn’t find the receipt for The Pet Spot where we got Wellness Super5Mix Small Breed but I do believe it is the amount of fish that was causing her soft bowels.I am very sad to give up on the Wellness Super5Mix Small Breed but I have to do what is best for Lacey not myself.After all,she is the one eating the dog food not me!
Castor & Pollux still a possible option
If any of the Wellness dog food doesn’t work for Lacey I am still considering on purchasing a small(3 pound bag)of Castor & Pollux for her online.Only thing with that is I am not sure we’ll be able to find it at Whole Foods so we may have to order it online which I dislike doing unless there’s no other way to get it locally.I do believe that one of the Wellness formulas should work for her as some have a lot of fish others have a very minimal amount.Not sure that’s the answer but see more blogs after this to compare the ingredients.
Castor & Pollux Dog Food
We’ve called Castor & Pollux Dog Food but they don’t give out samples because they are 100% behind their product but what we can do is buy a small bag and try it and if we don’t like it we get a 100% refund.Till then,we’ll look at some others until we go to Whole Foods and if they do have Castor & Pollux we’ll pick up a small bag as well as some raw food for Lacey.

We were looking online for something very similar to the Halo’s Spot’s Stew mix.Nothing with a lot of grains or a lot of meals.No beet pulp,no corn,no soy.Also has L.acid & is made from mostly wholesome ingredients like Halo’s with dehydrated veggies in the bag added along with the kibble already inside the bag.At first,I honestly thought it was a advertising joke.That’s the reason I had chosen to buy Merrick’s Grammy Pot Pie Dry Dog Food because it looked like on the package there was dehydrated veggies added into the kibble but when we opened the package we didn’t see that at all.We saw small kibble pieces and bits of orange,white and green for vision,breath and joint. As a result,Lacey was not at all too happy about trying it at all!She took maybe one bite and that’s it.However she was more than happy to eat her Halo’s once again.So,when we saw that the Castor & Pollux did have dehydrated veggies & fruits we thought it was a joke so I searched online for reviews of the product to see if it’s certainly the truth….Yes,indeed according to reviews on this Castor & Pollux products indeed there is dehydrated veggies & fruits inside the bag with the kibble.We sent an email hoping that they do give out free samples..Best thing is that they(Castor & Pollux) also sell it at Whole Foods where we get Lacey’s Halo among others of her food such as Primal.It would be so convenient for us than go from one store to another.I am very excited in hopes of trying this product on my dearest pup,Lacey Princess.Many dogs don’t get such a variety of dry,can and raw food but Lacey is one of the few lucky ones as I know she tires from one type fairly quickly so it’s better to have several diets on hand than only one or two.Here’s the email we sent:
