Lacey gets new can food, chew toys & treats from Naturally Pet

Today Lacey got ~$45.00 worth of can food, chew toys and treats from Naturally Pet.Some of the can food is and will be new to her.The ones we got her today includes Addiction Herbed Duck Confit & Sweet Potatoes,Black Forest Rabbit & Blueberries,Safari Buffalo Meatloaf,Evangers Duck,Evangers Beef, including the usual Merricks Can Food…Rabbit is definatly a new protein to her and in treats(Nature’s Variety Instinct Rabbit Biscuits Treats) she took to it pretty good.Sort of smells like chicken….Also trying to get can food that has very little veggies/fruits in it as much as possible but we need a good selection so we buy what’s available at the time…Addiction Can Food is one of the most limited can food with almost no veggies/fruits to it per recipie…I like that because Lace is the type of dog who won’t really take to veggies unless it’s can food…Even then I am still trying to limit veggies/fruits when I can.She also got some new dog chews or as we call it “Chew toys” which is very very important in the summer…If you don’t have chew toys available she will chew carpet! It’s also the time she gets matted the most as well.So brushing daily is extremely important as well. She got two new chew toys called Himalayan Dog Chews..it has Yak & Cow Milk with salt and lime juice…She loves that….and she got a dog chew called Canine Cavier which is Buffalo.

Proteins Lacey has had:Chicken,Beef,Duck,Turkey,Lamb,Fish(Salmon,trout,Whitefish to name a couple),Bison,Buffalo,Yak(First time 6/16/2011),Rabbit(First time 6/16/2011),Pork
Hasn’t had yet:Brushtail,Kangaroo are the main ones she hasn’t had so far…
Lace has had Evangers Can Food before like a meal type of can food before but she didn’t like it so now we will try her on”just the meat” type of food from Evangers and see how she likes it..If she doesn’t care for it we won’t buy any food from Evangers again.

Next month to mark her 2 years with the family, she will be getting some treats from Hawaii Doggie Bakery & new grooming spray, shampoo and more gel for her teeth from the Pet Corner in Ward Center.

Evangers Can Food Review

Terrible rating from Lacey & her owner. For Lacey she would sniff it but won’t even lick it.For her owner, not all cans have the kcal listed so there is no way a owner can figure out exactly how many calories their dog is getting. It depends on the type of Evangers Can Food.It takes a lot more can food just to get a 1/4cup flat.So in a 12oz can(Evangers@$3.05 per can there is maybe about 14 servings if you calculate at 1/8cup for a toy breed),a 13.2oz can such as Merricks has about 20 servings at about $2.30 a can. They always have calories listed therefore making it easier knowing how many kcal a dog is getting. We’re never purchasing Evangers Dog Food again.
