Brooke Burns’ Doggie — FOUND!

Here’s the crazy part — the dog was found by Brooke’s groomer’s client’s neighbor … did you follow that? We’ll explain …

The key part of the story is the grooming shop, where Brooke usually took little Max. We’re told the groomer was working with another client this week when the conversation turned to Brooke’s missing dog. The client said she had a neighbor who had just FOUND a dog matching Max’s description — small, black Malti-poo with no tags.

When they all put two and two together — they realized it WAS Max … and the heroic neighbor quickly reunited the little guy with his famous owner!!!!

No word on who will collect Brooke’s $250 reward … but it doesn’t matter — the DOGGIE IS SAFE!

Brooke Burns Uses FindToto.com to Search for Missing Maltipoo Max

Yesterday, we told you about actress Brooke Burns’s quest to locate her missing maltipoo, Max. The 3-year-old pup ran out an open door Saturday as painters were working on Burns’s house, and though he was seen by neighbors, he has yet to be located.

PEOPLE Pets has learned that Burns teamed up with FindToto.com, a pet-searching company, to help located her beloved pup. The service places calls to neighbors asking if they’ve seen the pet in question, and leaves a phone number to call if the animal is found. “We sent out phone alerts to 5,000 neighbors surrounding Brooke’s home,” FindToto Public Relations Director Colleen D. Busch tells PEOPLEPets.com. “Brooke is doing all the traditional things, hanging fliers and talking to neighbors, and FindToto is handling the larger search by notifying all of her neighbors.”

Though Max is still at large, Busch believes there is hope. “Based on the scenario, FindToto feels very confident that Max will be found!”

Spencer and Heidi Get Another Puppy!

It all could be practice for little ones down the line, but for now Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag are adding another puppy to their new furry family, Inky.

It was just last month that Pratt surprised Montag for her 23rd birthday with a 9-week-old maltipoo puppy, whom they named Dolly, after country singer Dolly Parton. But it seems their household was getting a little too girly for the 26-year-old Hills star.

“We’re getting Dolly’s brother and naming him Inky the Ninja!” the couple tells PEOPLE exclusively of the little black maltipoo that will be joining the household soon. “We felt that Dolly wanted her brother, [and] we’re having issues sharing Dolly,” the pair playfully admit.

“And Spencer wanted a boy,” says Montag. “He says Dolly is too girly!” Well, she did, of course, come with a large pink bow.

Friends Worry About Jessica Simpson’s ‘Tailspin’

Friends Worry About Jessica Simpson’s ‘Tailspin’
After losing her beloved Maltipoo Daisy to a coyote attack, Jessica Simpson may be at the lowest point of her life, friends fear.

“Daisy was her baby,” one of them tells PEOPLE. “It’s going to put her into a tailspin. It will put her into the worst place ever.” But another source close to the actress says she’s coping better than her friends may realize.

“She’s really upset, but she’s not spiraling out of control by any means,” this source says. “She’ll get through this but it is like losing a family member. She’s focusing on work and spending time with her family and friends.”

Daisy was snatched away by a coyote before Simpson’s very eyes in Los Angeles last week, and, despite Simpson’s refusal to quit searching and offer of a reward, no sign has been seen of the caramel-colored dog. She was given the dog by [her] then-husband Nick Lachey in 2004, and Jessica and Daisy became inseparable.

“She won’t leave her parents’ house,” a source says.

“Whenever things went wrong for Jessica, she reached for Daisy,” another source, a friend, says. “Daisy was her security blanket. When people let her down, she always had Daisy.”
On Sept. 19, her stylist pal Ken Paves convinced Simpson to finally leave her parents’ house. They went to Vino in Encino, Calif., for an attempt to perk her up.

“Jessica seemed okay, but wasn’t smiling much,” an onlooker says. “The wine made her relax a bit, but it was still obvious that she was having a devastating week.”

Unconditional Love
Daisy was perhaps one of the most pampered pets in Hollywood. Simpson fed Daisy steak, not dog food, and referred to herself as “Daisy’s Mommy.” When leaving the house, Simpson left on the air-conditioning for her dog; and when Daisy was sick, Simpson refused visitors so that they wouldn’t wake Daisy. She threw Daisy birthday parties, and when she talked about having a “girls’ night in” with a video, she was talking about herself and Daisy.

“Jessica has a very small inner circle,” the friend said. “But she always had Daisy. Daisy gave her unconditional love.”

And, unlike some of the men in her life, the friend added, “Daisy never betrayed her. Daisy was always there for her. This is serious. Jessica’s heart is broken.”

Whenever she was out at night, Simpson called home and had “someone put Daisy on the phone so she could say goodnight.”

“Daisy ran the household,” the friend said. “If Daisy didn’t like you, you were gone. Sometimes if her regular hair and makeup people weren’t available and Jessica had a sit-in, if Daisy didn’t like them, they wouldn’t be back. Daisy ran the roost.”

When Simpson was having relationship problems, “she would cry herself to sleep at night, using Daisy as a pillow.”

It won’t be easy to find a replacement, another friend said.

Needy and Clingy
“Jessica is very needy. She is very clingy,” the friend said. “She is so sweet, but sometimes because of that she’s hard to be around. It’s not always easy. She hates to be alone. That’s what happened with [ex-boyfriend and Dallas Cowboys quarterback] Tony [Romo]. Jessica smothers people. She doesn’t really have any hobbies. Daisy was exactly what Jessica needed.”

All of the sources agreed on one point: It’s been a tough year for Jessica Simpson.

“I want her to catch a break,” the first friend said.

Findtoto.com calling off search for Jessica Simpson’s beloved maltipoo Daisy, snatched by a coyote earlier this week

Sources close to the situation tell us Simpson and the FindToto.com people have exhausted every possible resource to find Jessica’s precious Daisy — last spotted in the grasp of a wild coyote.

We’re told Simpson’s camp used tracking dogs, scoured neighborhoods, put up posters, power-dialed neighbors and did everything else they could to find a clue … but came up short.

We’re even told a pet psychic offered to help, but we’re not sure if Jessica actually accepted the supernatural offer.

Jessica still has hope … but that hope seems to be fading pretty quickly.

Search for Daisy continues….

Jessica Simpson is determined to find Daisy, her five-year-old maltipoo that was snatched by a coyote outside her Los Angeles home Monday.

In addition to posting the pooch’s disappearance on Twitter, she’s also working with professional pet finders FindToto.com, Colleen Busch, the company’s director of public relations, tells Usmagazine.com.”We’re kind of an amber alert for missing pets. We took the address of where Daisy went missing and we used that as a bullseye,” Busch tells Us. “We called 1,000 neighbors in the surrounding area [Wednesday morning] and sent out a 30-second message with details about Daisy and her disappearance, and details on how to get in touch with Jessica’s assistant.” Listen to the phone message below.

Busch says the company — which also helped Victoria’s Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio find her missing pooch — “thinks Daisy might be injured. The calls get people on high alert to check their back yard, check under their deck.”Normally, FindToto.com would charge $175 for the service, but they offered to help the singer for free, Busch says.

Simpson, 29, is grateful.

“She emailed us to tell us, ‘Thank you.’ I think it’s been a devastating experience for everyone in her camp,” Busch says. “It sounds very upsetting. She was very appreciative and thankful we offered to help.”

Jess calls in experts to search for Daisy, missing carmel maltipoo, snatched by coyote

A massive search effort is underway to find Jessica Simpson’s missing dog Daisy — last seen in the clutches of a wild coyote.

TMZ has learned Jessica has been in touch with a lost dog-finding service called FindToto.com — a company that power dials 1000 of Jessica’s closest neighbors in Encino, California to alert them about Simpson’s situation.

So far, we’re told Jess’ peeps have only received one tip — but it was about a pit bull … not Jessica’s Malti-Poo.

Sources close to the situation claim Jess is still “praying” for the dog, but she knows the “odds are against” her.

We’re told Jessica is still clinging to hope, because Daisy is “fast” …. and may have seized an opportunity to bolt from her captor
