So,today when we went to Naturally Pet we were of course looking for Jones Natural Chews which she’s had the Pork followed by the Lamb Femur Bones,but the only one they had was the Lamb Femur Bone which she just had/or the last JNC bone she’s had in a while.JNC is made in the USA and very reasonably priced.($5.00)
They also had Merricks type of bones but I don’t trust Merricks’ treats due to all the recalls they’ve had in the past few years.Dry Food & Can Food we’re good as they’ve never had recalls on these foods.
We looked around and saw Ziwi Peak.I wasn’t looking at the price til after we had bought it.It was 7.50 for a small deer shank bone but you know what??It’s SOOOO worth it because Lacey Princess TRULY CANNOT GET ENOUGH OF IT!She goes crazy over it literally even when you take it away from her she’ll give you the look like”HEY!I WAS CHEWING THAT!!”I remember on dogster a dog owner who feeds Ziwi Peak Raw says that it is one of the more pricey foods you can feed a dog!You know what??That’s NOT A JOKE!Anything made by Ziwi Peak is pricey but most dogs love it if there owners can afford it they are one of the extremely lucky dogs out there!

Ardvark vs Jones Natural Chews
Ardvark I have found to be fairly cheap,is the same size as the Jones Natural Chews but when you open the package(Ardvark)I have found it to be very crummy when you open it(crumbs fall to the floor)and there is less meat on the end of the bone.Jones Natural Chews on the other hand is more expensive but there is more meat altogether generally.It also does not “crumb” as much when you open the wrapper.
Lacey takes first crunch of Halo’s Liv-a-little treats for the first time!
OMD!Lace actually took her very first crunch of successfully cracking open/eating her first Liv A Little Treat from Halo’s AFTER she started chewing her Jones Natural Chew Pork Femur Bone!Prior to that she’d pick it up,play catch with it,lick it and leave it.Now she cracks it open and can successfully chew the Halo’s Liv a little treats…
It’s amazing the way you can improve your dog’s teeth just by giving them a bone or a natural chew toy…Maybe next time we’re at PetCo or Naturally Pet we’ll pick up more.
Lacey’s first meat bone experience!
Today,Tuesday,Lacey had her very first experience with eating up a meat bone.I don’t even know the cost of the bone but I am sure it was pretty expensive calculating the price of the Primal Buffalo Liver Treat($12),4 cans of Merricks(about $2.29 per can),2 cans of Party Animal(2.36?,RMB Jones Natural Chew…All came out to over $50!
I’ve heard so many good things from other dog owners who give their pups RMBs.We tried almost every type of chew toy for Lace but she wouldn’t respond to it so finally I gave in to giving her a RMB.We tried Redbarn Bullysticks,Petrodex Dental Treats,Hertz Rawhides,one of the bones that’s already flavored but is shaped like a bone(I forgot what it’s called)
When I gave Lace her first RMB she dove right for it!She can’t pick it up since she’s only 8 pounds plus the bone is pretty big so she only gets to eat it in the eating area..She dove right for it and started chewing it up!There is no doubt about it!She will guard it with her life & LOVES IT!It can keep her busy for a long time.When she’s tired of it she’ll come to her “rest” area by her chair.Othertimes she’ll lay right by her bone & guard it.Her breath & nose smelled like PORK!We’ll look at getting it in bulk from the Pet Spot or one other place in Honolulu that might carry it.
