Lacey’s “scare”

This evening Lacey & I went on a regular walk like always, after dinner around 6pm(HST)we go walking for about 20-40 minutes. All was going well until we successfully crossed from one side to the other side and there was a lady with a white/beige dog walking in back & a black dog up front(Both dogs were on a leash)..Here we are minding our own business & Lacey wasn’t even close to the dog.Out of nowhere this medium sized black dog without warning(no barks or anything not that I remember.-It happened so fast that I don’t remember if there was a growl or bark)& before I know it the two dogs(Lacey & the black dog) were “at each other’s throats”.Finally I got her away then I brought her inside the house. When my mom came home from work,my dad went outside to talk to my mom.I tried to bring Lacey with me.As soon we were at the door to the garage she held back “fearing she’ll get hurt again”—Normally she’ll happily come outside with me from the front door or the garage door.So I carried her out and she stayed very close to me in distance throughout the night. She didn’t want to be left alone. We’ll see if she wants to go walking. She’s the type that can hold on to a “memory” for at least 4-7 months.

Lacey’s first attempt in a full water tub

Lacey had her first & last attempt in a tub full of water. As soon as I brought her in the tub she was okay for a few seconds but after she almost slipped in the water she got so scared she put her paws at the side of the tub.Figuring she was scared I went in the tub with her to comfort her but it didn’t work.Regardless the poor pup was scared than ever after I tried putting her two front paws in the tub.I put some water on her trying to console her that the water is her friend and its not going to hurt her.Still scared I let her out and this was the first and last time I will put her in a tub.I decided to try this because poodles are supposed to like water.Apparently Lacey is not one of them! Now,it makes sense why she doesn’t like taking a bath even in the sink.
