The Pet Spot & Kalihi Pet Store shopping on a Sunday!

On Sunday we stopped by the pet spot to find her a crate & carrier.We picked up a Primal Pet Treat & a carrier,doggie poop bags, &water bottle for dogs for her.At Kalihi Pet she came inside w/us and got a new bag of Earthborn to mix.So far,no new health problems with SG Just a Wee Bit.Seems to be helping switching proteins every meal.Her itching has decreased by half if not more.I am almost certain she was showing a reaction to “Chicken” since she mostly had “Chicken” as a protein source from the time she was 4 months old.I have no clue what her breeder gave her.

Lacey tries Wellness Super5Mix Small Breed

We just came back from dog food shopping for Lacey.We got her the Wellness Super5Mix Small Breed.While she does not seem to be thrilled about the change I have it mixed very little of the Wellness Super5Mix Small Breed with her Halo’s(majority of the food)and we’ll continue it for about a month to see how she does on it.If she’s still getting soft bowels we’ll donate it to a shelter and try perhaps a different choice of wellness.

Finding Halo’s Spot’s Stew Wholesome Chicken in Hawaii

Finding a store that carries Halo’s products in Hawaii especially in town can be pretty frustrating when it comes down to looking for the item itself.We went to several places and called several places including following the names of the stores on Halo’s Store Locator.We tried Natrually Pet but they only have for cats not dogs.We tried Kalihi Pet but they only had the cheaper end of the Holistic/organic dry food such as Natrual Choice by Nutro.They also stopped carrying Lacey’s No Grainers even though they do have the chocolate flavored treats which Lacey can’t have carob because it makes her poop soft.That’s the reason for stopping her Cookie Treats with Carob.If you look further in the blogs I believe it was called Cookie Yumms!We tried The Pet Spot but they only carry the Wellness brands and she can’t have the dry food because of soft bowels though she can have the canned food and treats.We tried calling The Vitamine Shop that’s listed on Halo’s store locator but they don’t sell it so our only and last hope was the Whole Food Store in Kaimuki.They have it!Otherwise if they didn’t we’d defiantly have to look into other options for her.And all the other places in Hawaii are out of our way like down in Kapolei which is too far for us to drive just to get Halo’s!Halo’s should have more distributors in town!
